How does the free trial work?

Your 2-week trial starts automatically when you first open Enveloop. All features are available during the trial. You can see how many days remain in Settings. When the trial ends, you'll be prompted to purchase.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open Enveloop and tap "Restore Purchase" on the purchase screen, or go to Settings and tap "Restore Purchase." Your purchase is linked to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device.

Getting Started

Enveloop helps you budget using the envelope method. Here's how to get started:

  1. Complete Onboarding: Enter your paycheck amount, frequency, and account balance
  2. Add Your Bills: Tap the + button in the Bills tab to add recurring expenses
  3. Process Paychecks: On payday, tap "Process Paycheck" to automatically allocate funds
  4. Track Progress: Watch your envelopes fill up over time
  5. Pay Bills: When it's time to pay, swipe left on a bill and tap "Pay"

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the envelope system work?

Enveloop calculates how much you need to set aside from each paycheck for every bill. For example, if you have a $600 car insurance bill due in 3 months and you get paid biweekly, Enveloop divides $600 by the 6 remaining paychecks = $100 per paycheck.

Can I manually adjust envelope amounts?

Yes! Tap any bill to view details, then tap the "Edit" button next to Envelope Progress to manually adjust the allocated amount.

Where is my data stored?

All your data is stored on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. If you use iCloud sharing, shared account data syncs through Apple's CloudKit — we never see or have access to your information.

How does family sharing work?

You can share any budget account with family members via iCloud. On the Dashboard, tap the people icon in the toolbar to open the Sharing Hub. Tap an account and send an invite link. Recipients accept the link on their device and the shared account syncs in real time. Both people see the same bills, allocations, and balance changes.

How do I enable dark mode?

Go to Settings → Appearance and choose between System, Light, or Dark mode.

What if I paid part of a bill early?

Tap the bill, then tap "Edit" next to the envelope progress to reduce the allocated amount. Enveloop will adjust future allocations automatically.

Can I change my paycheck information?

Yes! Go to Settings and update your paycheck amount, frequency, or next pay date at any time.

How do I delete all my data?

Go to Settings → Data → Reset All Data. This will erase everything and return you to onboarding.

What pay frequencies are supported?

Enveloop supports Weekly, Biweekly (every 2 weeks), Semi-Monthly (twice a month), and Monthly pay schedules.

What bill frequencies are supported?

You can add bills that recur Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually, or Annually.
